Description
I'm fascinated by emergent forms created by a simple shape repeated many times. The results often look organic because nature sometimes uses the same technique.
Here a 0.4mm twisted strip is extruded from a shallow arc then repeated around a circle. The result reminds me of a eucalypt blossom, or perhaps one of those luminescent deep seas creatures
Print at 0.2mm layer height
Use a three-layer raft as the small surface area contacting the bed my not be sufficient when the object is high and the leverage greatest.
On PrusaSlicer select 'Detect thin walls', or you will get an error.
I use a transparent filament (3D Fillies Transparent Red) because it gave me the effect I wanted. However, you could probably use any light coloured filament because each strip is only one layer thick
