UPDATE 1/1/2025 I finally got a marketplace set up here This is where my premium models and the WHS compatible models will be uploaded to. Stop by and support my work!
(it's late and my pain medication is wearing off so if anything is off or worded oddly please drop me a comment asking for clarification and I'll fix this description as I have for my other designs. You might have to resize it to the correct dimensions in your slicer which i've included here.)
My sister was going to remodel her room so I offered to design some curtain rod hangers for her in whatever style she wanted. She asked for something that reminded her of Animal Crossing so I used the leaf from the game as inspiration. I extended the stem into the rest of the holder/mount by modelling a curtain rod (basically a 17 mm cylinder) and forming the leaf around it, trying my best to make space for both the sheer curtain and the heaver blackout curtain. Turns out she ended up getting 1" wide curtain rods instead of the 17 mm ones i was initially expecting but as you can see in the photos they fit just fine.
For the "left" Leaf all i did was mirror the finished model.
Dimensions:
Distance from center of top rod to center of bottom rod is ~23mm
Height: (From mounting face to top most part of the leaf): 71.5mm
Length (From bottom screw plate to tip of leaf): 117mm
Width (From one edge of the leaf to the other): 74.7mm
I added so many screw holes just for aesthetic purposes. I ended up only using 3 screws per hanger and they hold tight to the wall even with some vigorous jostling. Please use the single, off-set screw hole on every one then two of the four in the larger mounting plate. Obviously, use supports as well when printing.
My 2 cents:
Considering these will be above windows which tend to have heating units underneath them not to mention possible drafts of ice cold and other various climate types, I'd suggest using print settings and material that can handle those fluctuations and extremes.
Print Settings:
I printed with white Build Series PLA from Matterhackers with 4 walls @.28 layer height, and i think 20%infill? Maybe a little more. I forget, i printed them about a year ago. I had previously printed some test curtain hangers that were more brutalist in design for my parents about a year before that so i adjusted my settings after some of those test pieces broke, they were the ones above the radiator, hence my suggestion to pay attention to the climate they will be used in.
Painting:
I ultimately used some of the paint we used on her walls to paint the “outline” of the design and then covered them in a matte clear coat. The wall paints were two off-whites which don't show well on camera but you should be able to see a slight difference.
