The Pocket Rocket

hi all hope you enjoy this model. I designed it on TinkerCad to hold a 16g co2 cartridge.

I printed in PLA + with 0.28 layer Height.

Print walls from inside to outside. 

the model is very strong and holds the Co2 cartridge nice and snug.

There is another printed part along side the model rocket that houses a screw or nail to puncture the seal at the bottom of the Co2 IMPORTANT the nail has to puncture the full seal and not just put a pin sided hole in the bottom or you won't get the best results.

The launch pipe I used was 32mm solvent weld plumbing pipe, with an inner diameter of 31.5mm to 32mm. length of pipe I used was around 1M long but you could experiment with longer lengths I think the longer the better maybe 2m . Note drill 1 or two holes in the bottom side if the pipe so rocket slides down fast.

Change filament at layer 225 to print Nose in different color.

Use a screw or nail around 30-40mm for the bottom of the 3d printed part that goes on the bottom of the pipe.  important DONT uses too long of a nail or screw because this will affect the strength and performance.

For stable nose results can vary  in in fill but a happy balance would be around 80% infill to add weight to the nose.

You can but the Co2 at many different places including Amazon or EBay.
