Description

Made for the Tea Organisers competition.

This Tea Sachet Store holds approximately 40 teabags and I recommend filling it with 8 different varieties. You just need the printed parts and a 608 skate bearing. Optionally nail varnish and 2xM4 nuts for weight.

  • Print 8 copies of the segment file using 2 or more contrasting colours.
  • Print 1 hub file.**
  • Print 1 pointer file.
  • Push in a 608 skate bearing - its a tight fit in the hub.
  • I lubed the bearing with some general purpose lubricant.
  • Optionally insert 2xM4 nuts in the recesses under the pointer - this adds some weight to ensure a long spin.
  • Sit the pointer on top its a loose fit.
  • I ‘painted’ the lettering by injecting with a mixture of nail varnish and nail varnish thinner.
  • Arrange the segments around the hub and push into place, they should be a good resistance fit, but you can add a drop of glue to make the fitting permanent.

Spin and enjoy a nice cup of tea. Being a Yorkshire-man, I can recommend *Yorkshire Tea - from Taylors of Harrogate. In the interests of variety I used a Whittard selection box for this project. However, I'll be loading my spinner up with Yorkshire Tea in every slot - that way no matter which one I spin I get a lovely cup of Yorkshire Tea.

*I'm not sponsored by Yorkshire Tea, I just love it so much.

** Edit 8/3/33 Changed orientation of hub in STL file so text prints down.
