This is a small adapter for (nominal) 9 mm square drive latches with handles or as a socket adapter.
Key features:
- for 9 mm square drive latches e.g. used in transportation and various other applications
- on the other side both variants have another square drive to use with any ¼" ratchets
- there is one version with handles and another version with a 17 mm hex drive
- the actual dimension of the square is slightly smaller (8.6 mm instead of 9 mm) which works as well because the square latches are typically smaller than 9 mm
Print recommendations:
- 0.2 mm layer height (0.4 mm nozzle)
- material: I used PLA, which works for me, but stronger materials might be worth a try
- infill: 100%, does not add a whole lot of weight or print time
- important: set seam-position to random otherwise the weakest points will be aligned in one of the corners of the square drive, which weakens it quite substantially
I use these for work because they are smaller, lighter than metal adapters and easily adapt to any ¼" square drive tools like ratchets or torque wrenches.
Disclaimer: Do not use these things to mess around with any tranportation equipment if you are not allowed to do so. Don't do stupid shit,
