Description

This is a basic trophy you can use to award someone or a group for any occasion, competition, or event.

I separated this model into (8) pieces so that other colored/specialty filaments could be mixed and used.  Another reason is for painting without mistakenly breaking or ruining the whole model itself thus saving you filament in the process if such a tragic error would occur.

All you'll need is super glue (I recommend Gorilla Gel Super Glue), a large rubber hammer, and a large flat thick item (i.e. Book or Wooden Plate) to make it stay together!

Recommendations:  Below are suggestive steps to put this trophy model together.  You can choose your own way to make it all fit properly!

Step 1:  Start from the bottom!  The “Trophy Base w_Screw” model goes to the “Trophy Cup Base w_thread insert”, as seen in the pictures.  Add glue to the threads on the “Trophy Cup Base w_thread insert”.  Once glue is added, just screw the “Trophy Base w_Screw” onto the “Trophy Cup Base w_thread insert” snuggly but don't use too much force or it may break.

Step 2:  Add the two middle parts.  The “Trophy Neck” has a hole through it's center for the “Trophy Neck Pole Insert” to hammer in.  Put the pole through the neck evenly.  I suggest you use a rubber hammer to place the pole into it properly.  After the two items are put together, put a little glue on the bottom of the pole and the neck.  Then set them on top of the “Trophy Cup Base w_thread insert” and use the rubber hammer again to place it down until the bottom of the “Trophy Neck” is evenly flat against it.

Step 3:  Placement of the Handles.  In order to place the “Trophy Handle Right” and “Trophy Handle Left” properly onto the “Trophy Cup”, tare off a strip of tape that's long enough to go over the top of the cup and down the sides for about 1 inch to 1¼ inches.  Ensure the tape is centered over the open part of the “Trophy Cup” or the handles will look awkward when you've glued them on!  Put glue on one of the handles, at both the flat portions of it.  Then place the handle at the end of the tape shown on the side of the cup.  Again, make sure the tape is centered from the top of the cup!  Once the glue has dried, cut the tape from the center and use a box cutter or straight edge to cut the tape neatly from the top at the handle's edge.

Step 4:  Placement of the Big Cup.  Put some glue on top part of the “Trophy Neck Pole Insert”, then set the “Trophy Cup” on top of it, to be fully inserted onto the pole.  There are two ways to place these items together.  One way is to place a thick flat item (i.e. Book or wooden plate) on top of the “Trophy Cup” that will cover it enough and use a rubber hammer to knock it into place.  A second way is to use your hands and apply a downward twist on the big cup until it catches enough of the pole, then use method one or twist the whole way down until it's seated flat.

Step 5:  Placement of the Word Plate.  After you either have laser engraved or added vinyl letters and numbers to the “Trophy Word Plate”, put some glue on the back of the plate and place it centered onto the “Trophy Base w_Screw” as seen in the picture.

The above guidance are just suggestive steps to piece the trophy together and there are other ways to put it together and still look good.

Printer Recommendations:

Print Quality:  Detailed or Higher (0.16 or lower)

Nozzle Tip:  0.4 or lower

Print Walls:  4 layer count

Print Top/Bottom:  Top layers - 4 or higher; Bottom layers - 3-4 layers.

Print Speed:  40-50 mm/s

Infill:  20-30% and Type:  Line or Cubit Subdivision

Model Placement:  Place the “Trophy Cup” upside down.  If printed right side up, then use a “Raft” bed adhesion to keep it in place but set your print speed between 30-40 mm/s.

Print Supports:  Only for the “Trophy Neck” and I would use the “Concentric” type and have it with a top layer.

I made this for someone and thought to share it so everyone can use for any occasion or events that may arise.

I hope you all like it and are able to have fun with it!  Please post your makes of these on here when you can!
