Description
This portable power bank use two 12 volt 9 amp hour Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) high-rate discharge sealed lead-acid (SLAB) batteries. Wiring the two batteries in parallel provides 12 volts of output and 18 amp hours of capacity. Terminal bus bars are used to connect the Anderson Powerpole connectors, usb charger and battery monitor to the batteries.
I plan to use this to power amateur radios in the field, but it will also be useful for other electronic devices that can be powered by 12 volt powerpoles or USB charging connections. Used 1-inch nylon webbing as a carry handle. Lid is secured with M2 bolts and threaded brass inserts.
Printed with PLA, got some lifting on the base of the box, but not enough to impact its utility. This project could easily be modified with different battery types, output connectors and battery chargers,
