Description

Turning aid for the Monsieur Cuisine Connect/Smart knive. Makes it easier to get dough out of the mixing container. Flipping the mixing container upside down and turning the knive from the bottom with this turning aid makes getting dough out pretty easy.

Printing

I designed it to be easy on the printer in terms of overhangs. Print the model laying on the upper side of the knob (so the connector looking like a flower is on the top side).

I used 3 perimeters and 20% cubic infill and printed in PLA. There is no need for PETG or ABS since it gets neither hot nor is particular toughness required. But you can of course use other materials instead, if you want to. The print does not get in contact with the food inside the mixing container, so there is no worries about food safety with regards to the material you use.

Design

There are similar turning aids readily available on Amazon or Thingiverse. But the problem I had with all of these was the design of the knob. It was either much to small and did not provide good leverage to turn it, or it had a T-style handle which does not allow an even grip from all angles. Thats why I made this design, which works great in my opinion. It is modeled a bit loose so there is play when using it. This was intentional to make it easier to attach. But you can of course scale it down a tiny bit, if you prefer the fit to be more snug. Just be careful when scaling, the tolerance between play and snug fit is in the neighborhood of probably about 0.1-0.2mm. This also depends on your printer and settings. I would advise however, to leave it at 100% scale. There is no risk of slip, even after extensive use.
