Overhang Test in Four Directions - 65 to 75 degrees

April 5, 2023
Description
Update July 28th, 2020:
Added a smaller version scaled at 75% for a quicker print time and to save filament, it's less than 5 grams. It's big enough to determine cooling quality but the normal version is a little easier to see the differences between different cooling options.

About
I'm working on a parts cooling fan duct for my QIDI Tech X-Max printer and needed an overhang test that tests the part cooling in four directions and not just one like most tests. I also need the test to be challenging for the printer so I went straight to the difficult 65-75 degree angles and skipped the "easy" overhangs.
One side is numbered 65-75 (facing towards you when printing) so you know the direction if you want to compare different cooling options. The test sits on a thin platform for good bed adhesion, you can break it off after printing if you like.
Don't despair if you don't get great results with this test, it's meant to be difficult to print so you can pinpoint where improvements in cooling need to be made.
