Steam wand detachable thermometer mount

Detachable thermometer holder for coffee/espresso machine steam wands as opposed to clipping to your cup. One side clips onto the steam wand snugly, then the other side attaches by magnets. This makes it easy to remove the thermometer for cleaning and storing.

Designed to fit most espressso machines (typically ~10 mm diameter steam wand) and thermometers with 4 mm diameter probes. If your equipment and magnets differ in size, you can easily edit the holes in most slicers (use a cylinder modifier) to fit what you have. Otherwise, you can let me know the diameter of your steam wand and thermometer probe and I'll add a custom model for it

A few different configurations are possible:
1. Standalone single magnet mount. Allows rotation in two axes but prone to flipping top heavy thermometers
2. Standalone dual magnet mount. Allows rotation in one axis only but resists rotation so the thermometer is likely to topple over. Suits most people's use cases
3. 2x separate single magnet mounts but spaced apart. Allows rotation in three axes by using different angles between the two mounts and resists rotation as a dual magnet setup, but mildly more annoying to detach the thermometer

Essential parts:
1. 4x 6 mm x 2 mm (diameter x depth) neodymium magnets (easily available from Aliexpress, eBay or hardware stores)
2. Super glue
(Extra magnets can also be used to extend the distance between the two mounts if you need)

Optional parts:
1. 2x o-rings that fits your thermometer probe snugly - place above and below the thermometer mount to have a consistent mounting height and also stop the thermometer from falling out if toppled over

Instructions:
1. Print the two parts
2. Super glue the magnets into the holes. Make sure to check your magnets are in the correct orientation!
3. Slide the thermometer into part B. Optionally, place an o-ring above and below the mount
4. Clip part A to the steam wand and attach part B by the magnets
6. Adjust the height of the steam wand clip and the o-ring on the thermometer to the right height for your milk jug

Notes:

1. Built-in clearance is 0.20 mm. Depending on the accuracy of your printer, you may need to adjust XY compensation in your own slicer

2. More temperature resistant materials such as ABS are ideal. If your machine has a ‘no burn’ insulated steam wand however, PLA+ has worked without melting
