Coupler for Living Solutions Personal Blender

This is a replacement part for the inexpensive Living Solutions Personal Blender sold by Walgreen's. Due to a weakness in the nut trap, the original coupler part in this blender tends to fail when blending frozen foods, ice, or very thick fluids. Compared to the original coupler this part should be more reliable. The outer walls are extra thick for better adhesion between layers, while the nut trap is flanged instead of just having vertical walls prone to weakness at the corners.

Instructions

I had good success printing this part in white PLA with 40% infill and 0.3mm layers, but I recommend using a stronger and more heat-resistant material like PETG, ABS, or Nylon. You should use enough infill for the layers to adhere really well, as this part is under constant stress and may soften under use. The nut trap can be tight, so it may help to heat up the square nut, push it into the trap, and let it cool down before tightening.

This part can be adapted for other blenders by editing the included SCAD file.
