The 5/16-18 bolts are for the connection to the track saw guide. The heads fit in the slot nicely and the upper connector is self centering. End cap is optional. The 1/4 - 20 Bolts are for locking the parallel guide slide in place. Use the 1/4-20 T Nuts for those. You'll need to file them down a bit to fit in the extrusion.
