The Idea:
- Miniature model of Luke's home on Tatooine
- maximum possible detail for 0.4 mm Nozzle
- including: small hill where he looks in the sunset, three barrels to the side, lots of junk around the hut, communication tower
- hide an up to 15 mm long record player pin
Design Process:
- for the suns I made some spheres as small as possible with a hole in the middle
- the base has two holes as well, so you can feed a wire through and position the suns as you which
Overall dimensions:
Tatooine:
| weight | height | diameter |
| 7 g | 22 mm | 38 mm |
Suns:
Print recommendations:
- PLA
- 0.4 mm Nozzle 0.12 mm layer height
- 15% infill
- I also changed the extrusion width to 0.4 mm to achieve a bit more detail
- also set “Minimum perimeter width: 25%” and “Perimeter transition length: 0” shouldn't be necessary, but gave me a bit more detail
Post Processing:
- I had to clean up some stringing, especially between the dome and the communications tower
Additional Parts:
- piece of wire, about 3 cm if you want to add the suns
Assembly:
- glue in the wire on one end
- thread the suns on
- glue in the other wire end
- position and glue the suns in place
