Description
I really 💕 the 3D printable Grand Piano model designed by @Mechanistic - available on this platform. He did an amazing job creating a working model of a real Grand Piano. However, as an owner of a real Grand Piano, I instantly noticed that there was something important missing!
So that your parquett flooring doesn't get damaged by the weight of your Grand Piano, you'd usually put coasters underneath the castor wheels. Luckily I had some and used my digital caliper to take its measurements. I used Fusion360 to design coasters meant to be used with any 3D Grand Piano model and scaled it to the perfect size to be used for my printed Grand Piano (credits to Mechanistic).
Additionally, I glued some red felt underneath which I previously used for the pianos' fallboard. The result looks just amazing!
You will need to print this model most probably three times. I suggest printing it with a .4 nozzle at a layer height of .2mm with no support and 20% infill. It should come out beautifully!
The file contains the real coasters' original size. If you want to use them for Mechanistics' 3D printed Grand Piano, you should scale down the model to 35%.
