Sturdy fruit fly trap - jam jar upcycling

This model is originally designed for use with a famous US jam jar, but I found out that it fits also on european jars with the same diameter.

We use it on standard german honey jars and also some bigger vegetable jars do their job.

Fill it with some vinegar, apple juice or a mixture of both. Also a piece of fresh fruit will do, because the flies get into the jar and don't find out anymore due to the small and deep inside funnel holes.

Use bright colors - the flies fly at that

Have fun with it, the flies will not :)
