Description
Tired of buying expensive chlorine floaters, and little tablets. So I made this to hold 3" tablets. They last about a month in my small 3 person spa. Used PETG @ .20mm. The small 1mm hole I determined was just enough to keep the chlorine level perfect in my spa. You may need to drill it out bigger if you have a larger spa. The cover snaps into place to prevent the tablet from falling out in case the floater is upended by the spa jets.
I did print this with the round section down with supports. You can print across the span without supports as I did another and it was okay on my MK3S. Also I had the infill at 15% and perimeters as well as top and bottom at 6 to make it water tight.
This remake prevented the tablet from falling out when it flipped over.
A box of 3" tablets is a lot cheaper than those mini tabs and frogger/turtle/etc floaters.
UPDATE: Rounded sharp edges. Also added bevel on cover on the underside to assist in removing the top cover. Noted as a “2” added to the file name. Could have added a tab but that would require supports for the print build.
