Voron Exhaust Hose Adapter

Adapter parts to fit a quick-connect 63mm id (2.5") extraction hose to the standard Voron 2.4/Trident exhaust box and fan.

I use these parts in conjunction with a window seal for the exhaust vent of portable A/C units. This allows me to vent the fumes from printing ABS outside, without having to regularly replace activated carbon. They could also be used to connect to an external filter unit.

I recommend controlling the speed of the exhaust fan using the chamber temperature thermistor. This helps the chamber heat up quicker, and allows me to set an ideal chamber temperature for different materials.

I have also included an STL for a hose end baffle. This is to help mitigate backdraft, and is optional. I may improve the design of this part in the future. There are also versions of the hose connector and baffle with slightly larger hose fittings (64mm instead of 63mm). This is because my hose did not fit very tightly on the 63mm versions. I suggest measuring the hose first to decide which version to print.

Assembly/Print Notes:

• I printed these parts in ABS+
• The fan adapter replaces the grille on the stock 60mm exhaust fan, and is held in with M3 x 35mm BHCS screws. I printed it with no supports (Voron logo side on the print bed), but be aware that some of the overhang is steeper than 45 degrees, especially around the screw holes.
• The Hose connector is printed with the locking tangs facing down. I integrated support towers into the tangs to make this printable. They can be carefully removed with side cutters or pliers (see wonderful MS paint picture).
• I recommend installing some 3mm thick x 5mm wide foam tape around the inside of the hose connector, protruding around 0.8-1mm above the opening for the locking tangs. this presses against the mating part to provide an adequate seal and also provides friction to prevent the connector from falling off.

Added 75mm hose connector and baffle. As with the other versions, the 75mm parts should be printable without supports. Disclaimer: As with the 1.5" versions, I have not tried these myself!
