Description
Only uses 60 grams of filament! Tired of running into issues with spools, and don't want to spend 600g of filament printing the Hydra AMS and ripping apart your AMS just to rebuild it? (No hate, I love the design.)
This riser for the lid of the AMS provides sealing (kind of) and running larger spools that might drag or bump into the lid of the AMS when it's trying to rotate the spools. I was running into issues with some cardboard spools not being able to retract filament after printing, and becoming a jumbled mess, and this fixed it!
I used some Krazy glue to secure it to the lid, but you can affix it however you want. There is a small gap for tolerances that can be closed up with a bit of rubber or foam, and around the front you might want to put some foam as well.
I recommend using TPU to print it. I have not tried any other materials. Prints in 2 parts that fit on the X1 bed.
