Description
Hello,
I designed this filtration box to work with the Bambu Lab P1P and X1C. It has a few key design benefits to help ensure the best filtration possible preventing exposure when printing.
Benefits:
- Utilizes one or two 7530 centrifugal fan in a negative pressure orientation to prevent leakage between compartments, maximize static pressure, and thus optimize filtration - GDSTIME 7530 Centrifugal Fan on Amazon
- Designed to minimize heat-rob from the print area
- Minimized necessary non-printed hardware
- Uses off the shelf Roomba HEPA filters - Roomba Filters on Amazon
- Charcoal container can accept pellets or mesh
- Includes cable management chute for a super clean install
I recommend printing with a higher temp material than PLA. Especially if being used inside an enclosure.
I printed mine with polymaker ASA using the generic ASA profile in Bambu slicer with about 25% increased primary cooling fan speed.
The wire concealment chute should be printed with the legs down. In an upside down U. I had to use a small brim to help prevent the small footprint on the bed from pulling away.
The assembly is pretty straight forward as the parts all just slide together using friction.
To use double 7530 fans, you must print the “CentriBox Fan Box #2 V1” file. It then stacks on top of the main fan. I'm only using the single fan as it seems sufficient, but the double definitely gets you more flow through the filtration media.
Let me know if you would like to see any modifications.
