This was my second traveling trophy 3D model design that I had done at the request of the same coworker that requested the basketball one linked above for the fantasy football league at my work. This one didn't take quite as long to make but I redesigned the plate sections to be wider and taller so that it only holds 4 per face to make text a little easier to print.

All of the models are in the 3mf format and none of them should need any supports.

This trophy was printed on and designed around the Prusa i3 MK3s and PrusaSlicer. They have not been tried with other printers or slicers.

I tried to make relief notches in the bases peg holes so that they do not sag where they end up being too tight for the pegs but this change was made after the original print and has not been tested so the pegs may need to be tweaked to fit your print.

All models should be printed with at least some infill. The main base is designed as hollow with internal support structures for rigidity. My suggestion would be at least 10% infill. I would also recommend 2mm layers. The tolerances can be a little tight but hopefully not too much so depending on your print settings.

The Trophy Top was designed to be individual model parts so that a multi-material printer like the Prusa MMU can be easily used. However, the football lacing and air valve would need to be manually painted in the slicer in order to print like is shown in the pictures above.

The FFL blank plate had two layer color changes to get that effect which has the added benefit of creating a nice outline.

The Trophy Top has a choice of a small, large, and oversized football and you can either cut the model to your printing preference or can print both sides pre-cut next to each other.

Lastly there are “Boring” and “Fancy” versions of the plates basically meaning edge accents or not.

A neat trick you can do with the “Fancy” versions is if you do embossed text that goes at least a few layers beyond the height of the plate and then only change the color of those few layers, it can cause an optical illusion making the text appear to “float” off of the plate.

My hope is that others can find use and enjoyment out of my model.
