Description

This is my take for the insulation and mount plates for the Mellow Fly MiniAB or BigTreeTech Piggyback36 boards.

There are two models available, one which the stepper mount holes sits horizontally, typically for Sherpa Mini, and other in 45°, which are the cases for the Orbiter and Sherpa Micro.

The 45° degree model need two extra M3 x 4.5 x 4 brass inserts and M3 x 6mm screws to mount the board on the plate, and both models needs two M3 screws (around 10mm length, depends on the spacer you are using) to fix the assembly on the spacer.

The cable strain relief takes two 2.5mm cable ties.

The spacer with 18mm length is specifically made to have a 1mm gap between the stepper and the plate for airflow. I'm using a Fysetc Nema14 36mm “pancake" stepper.

Since I don't have the proper brass spacers, I printed two. Each one takes two M3 x 4.5 x 4 brass inserts, it works for me and I never had problems.
