Replace the cable with a plugit adapter. The change is reversible.
Needed:
- Festool replacement part # 491996 (High power version, from the Festool Router OF1440, since the grinder can draw 13 amps)
- two #6-32 x ½'' machine screws
To install:
- Open the 2 housing sides, remove paddle
- Mark which plugit adapter cable replace the black/white cable
- Remove the cable, strain relief and cable clamp
- Install the socket adapter in the part, secure with the machine screws
- Slide the part, secure using the existing clamp screws
- Secure the cables to the terminal blocks. No need to trim, but be careful the extra cables do not empede the paddle lock
- Reinstall paddle and the 2 housing halves.
