Gridfinity expandable strorage boxes

If there is a need for bigger Gridfinity bins, here are the expandable bins you can print in almost any size, the minimum width is 1 and maximum is 4. 

There are End- and Mid-Sections that will connected via dovetail connectors. With different end and mid sections you can print allmost any size. 

For length up to the gridfinity factor of 8 you only need to print End-Sections. So in order to get a 3x7x6 bin you have to print one bin-end-3x3x6 and one bin-end-3x4x6

Every length over 8 will be realized with additional Md-Sections, so theoretically there is no limit.

The modell with the max size of 4x4 will fit even onto the Prusa Mini.

The dovetail connector is a separate print. There are modells with different tolerances for the right fit. For my MK3S+ with 0,3 layer height and 04 nozzle the ”standard-005” tolerance fits best.

Update 07.04.2023:

added a dovetail to each section, so a bin with a width of 3 has now 3 dovetail connectors. This allows you to arrange bins of different widths and lengths into irregular shapes.
