Description
Features:
I made this model 2 years ago for a co-worker who was retiring and had a penchant for misplacing his key fob. So we made him a giant one. It's the cover picture above and he loved it :-)
The tolerances are a little tight and the single piece and full top versions tends to not print the cross so you would need to print out one of the BMW Button pieces to fill it in.
Only change from 2 years ago was I converted the STLs into 3MFs so that PrusaSlicer doesn't request to change the BMW Buttons from mm to inches.
This model has been optimized for high detail SLA printing or FDM (when scaled 300%).
Fully put together model:
Split in only two pieces:
Individual Pieces:
*** DO NOT HIT YES TO SWITCH TO INCHES (STLs) ***
*** (Default scale same as model) ***
SUGGESTION: For the three fob buttons do two layer height color changes. If using gray do a color change 1 layer before the bottom layer of the cut icons to lets say black. So you'd run two layers of black and then switch back to gray. Because the buttons are mostly inset that should hopefully give the button icons a nice contrast.
My hope is that others can find use and enjoyment out of my model.
Happy Printing!
