UPDATE: I addet two knobs. Now ther are knobs markt with U, I, A and V.
This is a small and save to build power supply for your electronic lap. It provides voltage and current regulation using an inexpensive LM2596 step down module. There are different versions of this modules avaibale, make sure that your module provides voltage and current regulation (cc / cv).
The power supply is not powerd by mains directly, it uses a wall power supply for safety. I use a wall power suppy with 24V and 1A, but you can go up to 35V with the most LM 2596 modules. You can also go up with the current, but the most modules can only deliver 2A continious without getting to hot.
You will also need a 0,56“ volt-/amperemeter, chose a 10A version with build in shunt. I dont know if all of this volt-/ampermeters are the same, so check if my connections (on the pictures) fit to your version.
For the potentiometers (10kohm) i recommend multiturn potentiometers, so you can adjust the voltage and current much better. You will have to remove the voltage and current trimmers on the step down converter and then connect your potentiometers. The holes for the potentiometers are 9,5mm.
You will either need a DC socket that matchs to your wall power supply, two banana sockets ,four M3 schrews with 10mm length and a zip tie for fixing the step down module. The holes for the banana sockets are 7,5mm, for the DC socket 8mm.
