Door Thickness Adapter for Deadbolt

A simple shim to increase the thickness of your door by ¼ or ½ inch for the standard ANSI 2 1/8" deadbolt borehole. Perfect for fitting deadbolts that requires a thicker door than what you have.

e.g. The Level smart locks (https://level.co) requires door thickness of at least 1 ¾". So if you have a 1 ¼" door, you can print 2 copies of this adapter and use it to shim the deadbolt so that it will fit.

Print 1 copy if you need to increase thickness by ¼. 

Print 2 copies if you need to increase thickness by ½.

If it needs to face direct sunlight, print with ASA or Polycarbonate to withstand the sun better. Otherwise PLA would be fine.

Warning: Using this adapter will introduce weakness in the whole setup, allowing for easier access by intruders. i.e. people can drill through plastic much easier than metal.
