water universal joint

universal joint male / female for water pipe mm 14 (current version but modifiable with future publications if of interest). It allows you to join garden water pipes / various applications in a universal way without distinction between male and female. The gaskets must be printed in TPU material, the joints in PETG or even in PLA. The accuracy of the printer used and the type of material can affect the water tightness. Lubricating the sliding parts with oil or WD40 (similar) can help the interlocking operations. The joint can be used individually to fit also with the already existing universal brass joints on the market.

the printing of the gaskets does not require supports or special devices except for positioning on the flat part. The printing of the joints, on the other hand, and unfortunately, requires supports which, if not well adjusted, can cause problems. This is influenced by the printer / material mix so some pre-tests are recommended. In my opinion, the best results are obtained by printing the supported joint with the teeth towards the printing plate.
