Worx Landroid weight trunk that looks good

If you have a Worx Landroid that has traction problems specially with tall grass or slopes, adding weight to it, particular weight behind the rear axis, will improve its traction significantly.

I'm not the first to come with this solution but other mods I've seen were horrible to look at. I designed this so it looks alright and it's cheap to make.

It consists of two pieces:

The first one is a weight holder that attaches to the lid for the battery compartment, with a curve that matches the shape of the lid. It has two countersunk holes for attaching it to the mower with two M4 machine bolts and a washer and locking nuts in the other side of the lid.

The second piece is just a mould made to fix exactly on the holder, into which you can pour concrete. Once filled with concrete it will weight 900-1000gr aprox. If you want to make it heavier, put something heavy inside before pouring the concrete. For instance once filled with rebar chunks and concrete it weights ~2kg. Once the concrete is cured you can insert it into the holder upside down so the concrete is not visible.

Caution: Since the mould is rather thin, it can sag a bit when you pour the concrete. I recommend sandwiching it between two pieces of wood that you clamp in place while it dries.

Note: I have designed it for the lid of a Landroid L2000, but believe the shape of the lid is same for all models.

Print advice

• Don't use infill, print it solid. 
• I printed mine with PLA+ and it's working well, but eventually UV exposure will degrade it. To help with that you can paint it. Or use ABS/ASA/PETG.
• It can be printed with 0.4 and 0.6 nozzles without issues.
