FuzNuz Sungoggles

These are a design for a pair of goggles for horse and carriage racing. They go over the horse's eye to protect from sprayed up mud and sand from the carriages in front of you.

They have a UV resistant lens so they are a bit like sunglasses as well and help protect your horse's eye from the constant exposure to UV light. There is a dark tinted version for riding in the snow. Also keeps the wind out of your horse's eye so it might make them a bit less skittish when riding in the wind. It also is a half blinder as it blocks the horse from seeing behind them when their head is facing forward, but still lets them see everything off to the side.

Also for veterinary applications this is nice since you can just tape over the front of the lens, and have an eye patch, that you then slowly peel away over time.

Note: You need a few other parts to actually make these, it has a lasercut 1/8" thick polycarbonate tinted lens which is glued in place with epoxy. You also need the cushion material and wax string to stitch it to the goggle frame on the inside as well as the straps to attach it. I can provide you with a little kit with all these things and instructions if you message me on thingiverse.

A fully complete set costs $55 to order since I have some on stock that I made, and the kit to make them yourself costs about $35.
