Description

This case accommodates the LM2596 Buck Converter and the MT3608* Boost Converter. Screw holes are M2 (7mm length suggested)-8 required. Route line-in wires ( "VIN+ and VIN-" to the converters through the holes on the lower-rear of each side of the shell. Ground wires from both converter outputs ("VOUT-") should be connected to the black terminal on front of the shell. Line out from the Buck converter connects to one of the red terminals on the front and the Boost converter connects to the other red terminal on the front. Any DC input within specs for both converters can be used. These converters should not be left unattended while connected to a power source.

Variable DC Output: 1.23-28v
Current: Step-Down 3A Boost 2A

Required:
These 4 parts must be printed:

  1. Shell;
  2. Lid;
  3. Rear Panel; and
  4. Boost Carriage.

Optional:

  1. USB Covers-For those who will not be installing USB charging ports.

Holes for the quick-connect binding posts are 7.8mm.

Print quality should be good due to tight tolerances.

*These converters do not work well with a 12v input voltage. As a result a 5v source should be utilized. LM7805s can provide up to 1.5amp with 12v in and 5v out, however the heat generated at 1.5amp would likely cause thermal meltdown of the PLA.
