Description

This is a pasta measurer I made for a Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) celebration that the Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix (https://hsgp.org/) puts on annually.  Probably best to use PETG for this but PLA works too.  The file “PastaMeasurer_1-2mm_sandwich2_generic_Prusa.3mf” is for PrusaSlicer and is ready to go.  It requires an MMU to print successfully.  For the GCODE file, the FSM is black (Extruder 2) and the letters and background are white (Extruder 1).  The GCODE also irons the top surfaces.

If you want to set it up yourself, use file "PastaMeasurer_1-2mm_sandwich2_generic.3mf".  Each letter and part of a letter shows up a separate body when imported so, getting all the colors right can be a bit tricky.  Getting the colors right is easier if you set all the bodies to the color you want the FSM to be and then change the colors of the letters and background as desired.  When importing this file, I get a message from the app about wanting to convert from inches to millimeters.  The original file is in metric so, I've no idea why that message comes up but, make sure to not convert.  The app also asked about treating it as a single object with multiple parts.  Say ‘yes’ to that.

There is a hole near the top to allow hanging.  There is also a spot near the top to place a 6mm x 2mm round neodymium magnet for mounting on a refrigerator.  It's usually a tight fit for the magnet, but sometimes I need a little superglue to hold it in.

No supports needed for this.  Layer height is 0.2mm.  I used 1mm perimeters/top/bottom.  Use whatever infill you want.
