VW California T5/T6 Tarp Rails Hook

Original Description

This thing makes it possible to fix a tarp (or another element such as a solar shower) on a Volkswagen California.

Print instructions

• The hook and the plate are printed using a strong filament (PETG with Carbon) with 100% infill
• The sole is printed using a flex filament (TPU 98a) with 100% infill; You can also use the same strong filament as for the hook
• The button is printed using Prusament PETG filament with 15% infill.

1 - Requirements

You will need: - The four printed parts - A 20mm M5 bolt with hexagon head - An M5 insert (I use the ruthex variant) - Some strong glue - A soldering iron 

2 - Glue

Glue together the hook and the sole on their respective flat face. Use a strong glue (I used "Pattex Extreme Repair"). Use the bolt to help you center both parts properly. Use clamps to maintain pressure. 

3 - Insert

Introduce the insert into the button using a soldering iron. 

4 - Assemble

Assemble all the parts together.
