Description
This is a Multi-Penholder for the Cameo 4 because I don't like the original pen holder at all. I have the impression that the pen tip sits too close to the paper and that it is pushed down even further by screwing it in. In addition, the pins are not held well, they can still move sideways in the original holder.
That's why this (admittedly more complex) construction with the most suitable insets and lateral fixation - it's worth the effort!
Without an inset you can use pins with a diameter of 13 mm. A corresponding inset is recommended for thinner pencils.
What else you need:
Since the parts are very filigree and with low tolerances, resin printing is recommended! The parts are not optimized for FDM printing (but it should also be possible if your printer is set up well). For FDM printers, the note at the bottom may help...
The shaft should have a diameter between 15.3mm and 15.4mm. Below that it can start to wobble (especially with the Engraver Inset) and above that it gets tight in the tool holder.
The Jig to adjust the distance of the pen tip is identical to that for my Heat Active Pen Holder for Camero 4. If you are already using this, you do not need to print it again.
If you need a special inset: I've attached it as a STEP file. (You can also ask me - if I can spare some of my limited time, I will try to help you).
YOU can please also help:
Please note that these are not original Silhouette accessories, so using them can invalidate the guarantee. Use is at your own risk.
Examples of the insets:
Since well-adjusted FDM printers also have the property of printing the inside diameter a little too small, this setting may help to compensate for this. Unfortunately, we don't have much space for tolerances here.
