Description

This book stand has a super flexible design, so you can adjust it to fit your needs. When it's pushed together, it's 15 cm wide, but when it's fully extended it measures 52 cm (that's the base version, by the way). And if you need even more space, no worries - it's totally customizable!
The height and depth of the book stand is 18 cm, so it fits on any bookshelf.

Printing information

The attached files contain all the parts you need for the base version. Print all of them once.
If you want to extend the book holder (in steps of 13 cm), print extension parts once each.

Design Software: Fusion 360
Slicer: Prusa Slicer

Layer height: 0.20/0.40 mm (0.4/0.6 nozzle)
Infill: Gyroid 15%

Support: yes, a little bit with the bookend right

Assembly information

Putting the book stand together is actually pretty simple. Just follow the picture!

  • inner braces (in) go directly onto the bookends or plates, while outer braces (out) are attached to the inner braces on the outside.
  • Use the two spacers (red) at each end with the outer braces, and only attach the medium-length plugs (6mm, black) to both ends with the inner braces.
  • You'll figure out when to use the short (4mm, gray)) and long (8mm, green) plugs just by eyeballing it.

The inner plugs should fit snugly into the outer plugs because they have little clearance. However, due to the 3D printing process, some may fit a little too loosely. If this happens, use a minimum of glue in the outer plug and then insert the inner plug.

I am looking forward to your Makes! :-)
