Description
This is a remix of Alex Crazy's Fidget Rifle Keychain, turning it into a peashooter for 6mm plastic BB pellets. He did say it was for fun, so I edited it in Tinkercad to increase the fun.
Only the Barrel and Bullet parts are required to be printed. It will still be compatible with the pistol base of the original. I just added a split version of the pistol base since I want to give its both sides a texture from the textured build plate that I'm using.
Update 04-16-2023: I tried making belt bullet holders and uploaded them into the Belt Bullet Holder folder.
The bullet has a 6.2mm inside diameter to fit in 6mm plastic BB pellets. It also has an opening on the side which serves as a guide for the bolt and to lock it when cocked. It also has small notches at the opening which holds the pellet before firing. I used 5.5mm x 17mm springs in it.
The bolt has 2 parts: Part 1 must be inserted into the bullet after inserting the spring, while Part 2 must be attached and glued to Part 1. Part 2 serves as the handle for cocking the bolt before firing.
Small flaps were added onto the base of the bullet to hold it in place and not let it roll while inside the barrel part.
After fiddling around, I realized that I can crumple small pieces of paper and turn them into makeshift projectiles when your BB pellets run out. It won't be much accurate, but it's still just as fun!
The modified barrel part has an opening on the side that is aligned with the bullet's bolt handle. It also has slots added into the bullet entrance for the bullet's flaps to fit. It can also fit the bullets from the original model.
The modified barrel should fit the pistol base from the original.
*Note: In my experience, there is a chance that the pistol's break-off mechanism might trigger when firing the bullet. I still haven't figured out why so I recommend applying a small amount of pressure at the barrel with a finger on top when firing.
I don't know if I should, but I added mirrored versions of the barrel and bullet in case you want to wield it with another hand.
I just added split version of the pistol base to imprint the texture of my build plate on both sides of it. Just insert the barrel first before connecting and gluing the base parts.
There are 2 versions, both of which have 4 bullet slots. They just differ on whether you can mount the bullet loaded or unloaded. Both can accommodate for either nonmirrored or mirrored bullets. It can fit belts with 46mm x 18mm cross-section.
