Description
This is a replacement for a cover saver strap support. We broke one in the cold days of the winter and after looking at it for a moment I realized that they designed it to be a throw away item, you have to buy a set of two, with new straps and all (I hate that). I designed this as a replacement that can be put onto an existing strap. Printed in PETG to stand up to the elements, my test was in white, but I'll probably reprint in black now that I know it works. We've been using it for 3 months now.
I designed the holes for Knurled Brass Nuts M3 Threaded Inserts that I melt into the model, then attach with screws. If something breaks again I can reprint it with additional reinforcement in the broken area.
Recommend printing it with at least 4-5 walls, and decent infill to keep it strong to hold the weight of the cover.
