Description
A nice set of two modern-looking hexagonal bookends to fit your hexagonal life!
Perfect to store some books beside your Prusa printer ;)
There are two variants: large and small. You can mix-and-match both to suit your needs. For example, you can print a big one for each side (by mirroring the “large” model) or do the same thing for the “small” model. Or mix-and-match like I did to fit the spot where you will display your books.
You can tweak a few things to make the bookends bigger or smaller, to use less filament or to change the aesthetics a bit. In the included Fusion 360, modify the following parameters to alter the design:
depth : The total depth of the bookend from front to backdepth_offset : The depth offset for each “row” of hexagons. Make this bigger to make the hexagonal pattern deeper.hexagon_height : The height of the hexagons. Use this to scale the whole hexagonal pattern up or down.plate_length : The length of the retaining plate that goes below the books and removes the need to fix the bookends in place on your furniture.plate_thickness : The thickness of the retaining plate. I think the default value (0.9mm, which approximately corresponds to two perimeters) is good, but you can change it if you want.License:
