Pod Press (Nespresso vertuo pods)

I use this to remove the coffee from my Nespresso pods (vertuo large and small) so I can then recycle the pods in the aluminium recycling bin.

Tough PLA seems to be best with at least 5 perimeters to ensure it is strong enough to press down on the pod and push out the coffee. Use an M3 x 40 screw and nut in the hinge.

To use, place the pod in the middle and then squeeze the top and bottom together over a garden bed. the pod will explode and the used coffee grinds will empty on to the garden. Then the empty pod can be placed into your recycling bin.
