Description
Customizable, fully printable whoop gates.
Design goals were:
The segments can plug into each other, like puzzle pieces. Technically they hold by themselves, but you can glue them together for a more permanent fit.
I suggest printing 2 of the testing pieces and check if they fit together and especially if they fit your LED strips. If everything is OK, you can print the bigger variants. Otherwise use the customizer to adjust to your printers tolerances and width and height of your LED strips.
I used 12V LED strips, but power them from a 2S LiPo, simply because I like the brightness with 2S more.
Material wise you can use any bright color through wich the LED's can shine through. If you print it in white, you can basically use any LED color you like. I went with 15% infill, which is enough on my printer to get the gate uniformly closed and I like the diffusion, but you can play around with smaller pieces and see which variant you like best.
I used those the super bright LED's but I guess, I should have gone with the cheaper, less bright LED's - then I could probably run them from a 3S battery without them being to bright for my liking.
There is a couple of different mounting options:
I used magnets of the size10x5x3mm but you can use any other square magnet size you have on hand - just adjust in accordingly in the customizer
