Description
I started with the clip from @Andrei_24779. I remodeled it to learn about the cam workings, I made several minor changes to design and reoriented it. I printed it as is without supports.
I have included my Inventor files and a STP. It is parametric using an excel file for input. Note that some parameter settings may break the model.
I printed it on a Lulzbot Pro with a .5 nozzle, with .2 layer height out of PLA with 20% infill (triangles). I also set wall thickness to 3 for strength.
CamLock Clip VI added
Used conical hinges, this made the articulation freer and smother without needing to bridge the hinge pins. This allows for a wider part in the center for an overall wider clip.
CamLock Clip VII added
In this version I added a spring made out of PETG to have the jaws spring open when the cam is released. I also narrowed and shortened the cam lever. Printed in place just the way the stl is oriented without supports. The clip itself can be either PETG or PLA, the spring should be PETG or it will wear out and break after a few uses.
