Sprue Bases

Sprue bases are circular objects used in casting metal or other materials. They are designed to hold a sprue, a channel through which the molten metal or material flows into the mold. These sprue bases come in various sizes, including 2-inch, 2.5-inch, 3-inch, 3.5-inch, and 4-inch diameters, recommended to print with TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) or other flexible filaments. 

The hole in the center of each sprue base is specifically designed to accommodate a sprue with a 6.5mm diameter, which is a typical size for casting applications. The TPU material is chosen for its flexibility and durability.

Using sprue bases in casting is essential for creating high-quality castings that are free from defects. The sprue base helps to ensure that the molten metal flows evenly into the mold and that any air or gas bubbles are properly vented.
