After Mutsy went bankrupt I discovered that there weren't spare front wheels available for my Nio stroller. I ordered spare wheels for the Mutsy Icon and adjusted the locking mechanism of the Nio to fit both the original wheels and the Mutsy Icon wheels.
Differences between the parts:
- v1 only fits the Mutsy Icon front wheels;
- v2 both fits the Mutsy Icon and Nio front wheels.
Printing instructions:
- Don't add a brim, I already added one which is easy to pull off and prevents the printer from knocking it over;
- Use 0.2mm layer height;
- 30-40mm/s printing speed;
- PLA is fine, Nylon would make the part even stronger and more durable.
Mounting instructions:
- Remove the original front wheels from the stroller base;
- Use snap ring pliers to remove the snap rings from the axis;
- Remove the ring and the original plastic tube from the axis;
- Slide the 3D printed part over the axis;
- Apply the ring and then the snap ring to lock everything back in place;
- Now mount the new wheels.
