The Cool S Stud Finder 2x4 Center Marker Magnet

Have you ever found yourself ready to hang a new TV on the wall, only to be stumped by one simple question: where are the studs? Fear not, for the solution is here - the COOL S Stud Finder! This innovative tool is the exact width of a 2 by 4 piece of lumber and features an embedded magnet that helps you locate the nails or screws used to hold up the sheetrock in your home. With the point on the S, you can easily mark the center of the stud, while the left and right sides indicate where to mark for the sides of the stud. I've added a cutout for the key chain ring which is designed to not interfere with marking or locating studs.

I'd like to state the obvious… the cool S also makes a superb magnet for the fridge!

The printer that I am currently using does not support pausing within g-code. Rather than guess when it was time, I added a small two layer (0.4mm) cutout at the appropriate layer height next to the magnet hole. This prevents the need to count layers and gives an indicator of when to drop the magnet into the print.

I used a 12x2mm round magnet. I can upload other cutout sizes if needed.
