Description
I use these sensors (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D37FKGY/) in my printer enclosure and in my bathrooms to tell when someone is showering to kick on the exhaust fan to remove the steam (and turn the fan off after it's clear).
I wanted something that I could mount on the wall with tape or a screw and still be able to pull the sensor off the mount for battery change or whatever. Usually I'm a big fan of command strips, but I figured…what the hell…and made this. Modeled in F360, printed on E3V2 with PLA at .16 LH and a .5 nozzle. It slides in and seats while the little ears retain it. Make sure to orient the sensor so that the opening for the sensor and reset button are not covered by the ears. I'm not sure how well the sensor will do it's sensing thing if you cover the holes but whatever, you do you.
