AEV Saddle Block

This is my design of the AEV Tire Carrier Capture Puck, or Saddle Block. It replaces the cheap acrylic block that is included in the Tire Carrier setup for the Jeep Wrangler. American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) does sell a acrylic one to replace the original with a poor design and dependability being nonexistent. Furthermore, they charge $5 for the part and $20 minimum shipping.

I have included two designs, the V2 is a little bigger, thicker, and the opening is wider so the metal tube that it holds can move a little easier. The V1 version I did has a smaller opening, so it has less movement but you can sand it to make it fit the way you want. Plus the V1 version you can use the original bolts and nuts, where the V2 (being thicker) you might have to get longer bolts.

Printed with PLA+ with no supports. The location of the block is not exposed to sunlight very often. You can use ABS but ABS I have found is too soft.
