Star Trek TR-560 Tricorder VI - Print in Place

This is a replica of the TR-560 Tricorder VI from Star Trek: The Next Generation. It prints in place, only requiring supports between the hinge segments, & folds closed neatly. (I'd recommend printing it in a different color than pink, but whatever floats your boat!)

I'm figuring out printable adhesive labels for it to finish the look - that'll be a future update.

A little raft never hurt anybody. You might be able to print directly on the bed, but the sides are slightly curved, & it might not end well.

How I Designed This

I found an old, broken Playmates Tricorder, & took some measurements off it with a set of calipers. It was relatively easy to get the open/closed shape for the top & bottom by setting the distance between the vertices equal, & tweaking the angle to look right.
