Fairy Lights in a Jar - Night Light - Led warm - Gift idea - Gift inspiration

You'll need:

Empty jam jar (Bonne Maman, but others might also work… Ø is 82mm)

Fairy lights like these ones → click here (+ break off the tube, it's not necessary)

Magnets → I have used Ø 11mm x 2mm, but any other will probably work fine as long as they don't exceed 2mm thickness.

When you are slicing the object, remember to include holes to add magnets. The idea is to have the battery pack stick magnetically to the top of lid so it remains out of sight.

To achieve this :

1. Right click on the objet and add negative multiplier:
   
   
    
2. Give these multipliers the dimensions of your magnets and place them:
   
   
    
3. Add a pause at the right layer height and put the magnets in place before resuming the print:

After printing, you simply need to stick the battery pack to the top and screw the lid shut.
