So, I got a new plant for the stairway at home and needed a 4m moss pole. Since it didn't exist, here we are…
Now, we have a system to assemble moss poles together and secure them to the wall. The design aims to be as flexible as possible (within the constraints of my home).
Printing Details:
1 or more links: Print flat with supports.
1 or more wall mounts: Print on the flat face; no support needed.
Spacers: Print as many as required. Each spacer is 1 cm high; print flat without support.
Hardware:
Multiple MOSS POLES!
Screws for the wall mounts.
Zip ties to secure the poles to the wall mounts (see pictures).
BBQ spikes to connect the moss poles together.
Assembly Instructions:
Links:
Print all pieces.
Insert BBQ spikes into the link pieces.
Add spacers if needed.
Force-fit the moss pole onto the links, but remember to cut your moss pole to the desired size first (see picture).
Insert the BBQ spikes into the moss pole below (see picture).
Wall Mount:
Install the wall mounts onto the wall.
Optionally, wrap some coco fiber around before securing.
Use zip ties to attach your Moss Pole Skyscraper to the wall mounts through the provided inserts.
Hope this helps!
