You need 6x2mm magnets 

The magnets go into the band quite hard, the best way to put them on is to put them on the tip of a knife and push them into the hole
Pay attention to the correct polarity!

If the strips are short, you can connect them via magnets, as shown in the picture, the polarity fits so that they connect

The thickness of the strip is 0.4 mm - 2 layers of filament, then it is very flexible
