Description
Playing just the upper half of a clarinet can be fun, except it presents the challenge of maintaining good intonation in the lower note range, and keeping the instrument steady with just one hand. This device aims to fix both of those problems when attached at the halfway joint. The additional length prevents notes from pitching sharp, and provides a better grip for the right hand.

Both V2 and V3 of the attachment are viable. Whichever is better may depend on personal preference
Slide the attachment to the end of the upper joint, concavity face up. Position your left hand normally. Place your pinch the end of the attachment with your right thumb and middle finger as to free up your index finger for the side keys. The half-clarinet should now play all notes in tune. If it is still sharp though, try repositioning your middle finger along the trench to constrict the air and lower the pitch.
